A resident in the 500 block of Alden Avenue told police that two of his vehicles were stolen from the driveway of his residence between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Both vehicles were unlocked with the key fobs inside of them, police said.

A resident in the 400 block of Hillside Avenue told police that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway while it was parked and unlocked with the key fob inside, police said. The resident told police that the vehicle is valued at $40,000 and an item valued at $5,000 was in the vehicle at the time of the theft, police said. Officers recovered the vehicle in another jurisdiction shortly thereafter, police said.

Dec. 1 at 9:49 p.m.

Officers arrested Ashuntay Cambell-Tomasuol, 22, of New York, for possession of under 50 grams of a controlled dangerous substance, police said. Officers arrested her following a motor vehicle stop in which she was a passenger, police said. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released on a summons with a municipal court date pending, police said.

Dec. 6

Officers arrested Destanee Brooks, 22, of Sayreville, for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. The arrest was made following a motor vehicle stop in the area of Central Avenue and Sussex Street, police said. She was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on a summons, police said.

Dec. 14 at 9:56 a.m.

A resident from the 500 block of Hart Street reports that unknown persons entered their motor vehicle and stole $150, police said.

Dec. 14 at 10:43 p.m.

A resident from the 600 block of Kimball Avenue reports being the victim of identity theft, police said. Unknown persons gained access to the victim’s information and charged two cell phones to the victim’s account, police said.

Dec. 15 at 1 p.m.

A resident in the 400 block of West Broad Street reports that unknown persons stole their bicycle worth $2,525 while it was parked and locked at Tamaques Park, police said.

Dec. 21 at 1:26 p.m.

A resident from the 100 block of Chestnut Street reports someone stole their iPhone worth $1,000 while the person was at the Lord & Taylor in Westfield, police said.
