WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Public School District has announced that schools will be closed Thursday, Feb. 13, due to the impending storm. With a scheduled holiday on Friday and Monday, schools will re-open Tuesday, Feb. 18. A make-up schedule for the additional snow day will be established as soon as possible after the long President's Day weekend, according to the district.

Governor Chris Christie has already declared a state of emergency in advance of what could be a crippling winter storm.
