While schools were closed in Westfield to begin the Presidents weekend on February 13, teachers, administrators, and other staff members participated in the Westfield Public Schools In-Service. Workshops included teaching strategies, curriculum review, sessions regarding special education, PARCC training, behavioral intervention, and HIB (Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying) training. In addition, specially tailored workshops for health educators/nurses in the district included a presentation on abuse of prescription medication and creation of new lesson plans.
