WESTFIELD, NJ — With its internet service down due to heavy rain and wind from the remnants of Hurricane Zeta, Westfield Public Schools will not be in session Friday, Oct. 30, the district announced.

Westfield High School is using all-remote instruction until Nov. 9 due to positive COVID cases, while the district’s other schools are using hybrid models.

With the internet service down, students and staff will not have access to materials needed for instruction, Mary Ann McGann, spokeswoman for the school district, said in an email.
