WESTFIELD, NJ — Bow hunters bagged 20 deer in areas of Westfield as part of a hunt that for the first time in recent history included parts of the town beyond Union County parks, the town administrator reported.

Owners who invest in their downtown properties won't be immediately saddled with a higher property tax assessment under a plan the Town Council approved earlier this week designating Westfield's special improvement district in the downtown an “area in need of rehabilitation.”
