WESTFIELD, NJ – Flags will be lowered statewide on Monday in memory of Dr. Derrick Nelson, the Westfield High School Principal, who died from complications following his bone marrow donation.

A high-speed police chase that started on a residential road in Westfield ended in an arrest in Newark Thursday morning, police said.

A 9-year-old boy’s quick thinking helped avert a house fire. It is a story that spread like wildfire on social media this week.
