Cheryl Green Rosario of Westfield, vice-president of Corporate Social Responsibility at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, bas been named to the JBWS Board of Directors.
JBWS provides safety, support and solutions for abuse. Founded in 1976 as the Jersey Battered Women’s Service, the Morris County-based agency has grown to provide a 24-hour helpline (1-877-R-U-ABUSED), emergency safe house, transitional living, children’s programs, counseling, vocational counseling, legal advocacy, batterers’ intervention, dating abuse prevention, community education and training for professionals. In addition, JBWS is the lead partner of the Morris Family Justice Center, a multiservice agency serving victims of dating and domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Rosario has a proven track record in supporting excellence in corporate social responsibility, family foundations and nonprofit arenas. She has been a huge advocate for women and supporting diversity issues throughout her career, serving both as a mentor and creating programs that provided leadership and networking opportunities for women and people of color in the workplace.
Rosario is an active member of the funding community through her work with Philanthropy New York, Council of NJ Grantmakers and former member of Contributions Advisory Group and former co-chair of Grantmakers in the Arts. She is also the vice-chair of the Art Beyond Sight Board.
