WESTFIELD, NJ — Rory Chadwick, the Westfield resident who donned a Santa suit and drove around on town his Vespa scooter Christmas Day, has ordered an Easter Bunny costume.

Chadwick said that he’ll leave the scooter home this coming Easter Sunday so that the Easter Bunny can be driven by someone from David Realty in their convertible smart car.

After losing his mother to cancer a few years ago, Chadwick said, holidays can be difficult.

“I did the Christmas ride because it allowed me to celebrate with thousands of others and it made that day a happy one,” he explained.

The ride will take place April 1 starting on the south side of town near the bridge in Clark around 10 a.m. Chadwick hopes to travel down all of the major roads in Westfield, using Facebook Live to livestream his tour so that people will know when the bunny is in their neighborhood.
