Westfield Town Council Gets Visit from Girl Scouts (Video)

WESTFIELD, NJ — Girl Scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance at Tuesday night’s town council meeting before Mayor Andy Skibitsky proclaimed the week of March 9 through March 16 Girl Scout Week in Westfield.  

Before they left, Skibitsky asked the children what they loved most about Girl Scouts. The most popular response? "Selling cookies."

Miriam Gerges, age 22, of Livingston, NJ, was arrested on the strength of two outstanding warrants out of Westfield Municipal Court ($1,500) pursuant to a prisoner pick-up at the Livingston Police Department. She was transported to Westfield Police department headquarters where she was processed and held in lieu of bail.
