WESTFIELD, NJ — Looking for Fourth of July fireworks this Saturday? Although the town of Westfield will not hold its own display, other towns nearby will:
The annual Clark Fourth of July Fireworks will take place at about 9 p.m. over the field of the Arthur L. Johnson High School on Westfield Ave. Food vendors will be set up on the field and a DJ will be spin music on the lawn in front of the municipal building.
Cranford’s fireworks at Nomahegan Park begin at 9:15 p.m., after a slew of family-friendly Independence Day activities including canoe races at 8 a.m., the Firecracker 4 Miler and 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. and rides and games at 2 p.m. Rain date (for fireworks only) is July 5.
Head to Lady of Lourdes, 300 Central Ave., in Mountainside for a display scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m.

Not a fan of fireworks? Celebrate America’s birthday in Westfield on Thursday night, July 2, with a special performance by the Westfield Community Concert Band at the bandstand in Mindowaskin Park. The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
