WESTFIELD, NJ — Despite the steadily falling snow, life goes on as usual today in Westfield. Main roads have been cleared and public schools are running on their regular schedules. Drivers are urged to use caution on side roads that may remain slippery.
According to PSE&G, power outages may be caused by falling trees and limbs, which bring down power lines. The company is urging people to stay away from all downed lines and anything that they might be in contact with.
Downed wires should always be considered “live.” To report a downed wire and other visible equipment damage, call 1-800-436-PSEG and tell PSE&G the nearest cross street.
To report a power outage, call PSE&G’s customer service line at 1-800-436-PSEG. Customers who get an automated response are encouraged to use it, as it is designed to route calls to the right destination quickly. The system also provides the option to speak directly to a customer service representative.
