Registration for the Westfield Area Y’s fall 2 session begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 9th for Gold and Silver members and at 7:30 am, Monday, October 13th for Program and Non-Members. The Fall 2 Session runs from October 26th – December 20th.   

New classes for adults this fall include: Body Barre, Kickbox Fit, Cardio & Strength Circuit and Strength Intervals.

Youth and teens can enjoy new classes this fall such as Pre-Season Basketball Clinics, Pillo Polo and Teen Beginning Free Weight Room.

Programs for Special Health Groups this session include:  The Dragonfly Program; Delay the Disease:  Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms; Arthritis Exercise Program; Aquatics for People with Disabilities; Project Healthy Bones; and Special Population Personal Training.

At the Y, there is something for everyone.  Active Adults can come together and discuss current and classic literature, play bridge and attend the Italian Fest on October 15th, “Tech Talk” on November 6th and a FREE Medicare Health Fair on November 11th.  Advanced registration is required.     

The Y continues to offer swim lessons and competitive swim teams.

A wide selection of childcare options are available to accommodate the needs of busy parents.  With programs in Westfield, Mountainside, Garwood, and Cranford, the Y is convenient and flexible. 

The Westfield Area Y also offers a wide variety of youth sports programs ranging from flag football, climbing and soccer to Tae Kwon Do, t-ball, fusion dance and fencing.  Participants in the Y’s Flyers Cross Country Track Club learn proper distance running technique and build cardiovascular endurance through interval training, games and drills.
