11/8/2020 12:59 p.m. — Theft
A resident of the 500 block of Tremont reported their bicycle was stolen. The resident stated that the bicycle was valued at $25. The victim stated the bicycle was taken from his unlocked detached garage. The victim stated the time frame of theft was from Oct. 25 to Nov. 7, 2020.
11/11/2020 9:17 a.m. — Bias Incident, Criminal Michief
A bias Incident was reported to the Westfield Police Dept. The incident involved criminal mischief to property in Tamaques Park. The bias nature referred to swastika drawn on a sign in the park on a trail. There were other drawings on other signs causing damage.
11/11/2020 12:36 p.m. — Garage Burglary
A resident of the 500 block of Saint Marks reports their property was burglarized. The resident stated that their detached garage was entered unlawfully by an unknown actor. The actor removed a bicycle from the garage, but then left the bicycle on the property. There was no damage to the garage and the victim suffered no theft.
11/12/2020 12:01 p.m. — Theft
A resident of the 500 block of St Marks Ave reported on 11/12/202 a burglary to their detached garage and a theft of two bicycles. Resident states garage was likely unlocked at the time. There are no suspects at this time.
11/13/2020 7:30 p.m. — Fraud
Between 11/11/2020 and 11/13/2020 a resident of the 1200 block of Boynton Avenue reported being the victim of fraud. The victim attempted to purchase a puppy from an online seller, who accepted $1,770.00 and did not ship the puppy as agreed upon.
