Rachel Kennedy, library media specialist at Franklin School in Westfield, has been named the recipient of a scholarship awarded by the Friends of Westfield Memorial Library. The monies will be used for Kennedy to enroll in a Rutgers graduate course focused on writing proposals and managing grant projects.
Kennedy sad she hopes to follow up her coursework by seeking funding to enhance learning for Franklin students and to share her knowledge with colleagues.
Franklin School Principal Eileen Cambria calls Kennedy an innovative teacher who “has transformed our library program by infusing the most current technology into her instruction.”
