WESTFIELD, NJ -- Holy Trinity School organized a gift donation and gathered gifts to donate to families in need for the holidays.
"Each year several of our classes sponsor a gift drive for those less fortunate," said principal Dr. Adele Ellis. "This year, PreK-3, PreK-4, and Kindergarten students/families generously donated gifts."
Mrs. Ivan, PreK-3 teacher, Mrs. Grawehr, PreK-4 teacher, along with PreK-4 assistants, Mrs. Moira Kelly and Mrs. Rebecca Nott, gathered the donations for delivery on Friday, December 4.
"We will also be making Christmas cards for the residents of Sunrise Assisted Living in Westfield who are Holy Trinity and St Helen’s parishioners," added Mrs. Laura Ivan, PreK-3 teacher
The School has collected 75 gifts as a part of this fundraiser, and they will be donating the gifts to La Casa De Don Pedro, a community outreach program with multiple locations throughout Newark, NJ.
Since 1916, Holy Trinity School (336 1st St, Westfield) has provided a quality Catholic education to Westfield and the surrounding communities. A 2011 National Blue Ribbon and a Middle States accredited school, its mission is to educate students to actualize their full, individual potential, both spiritually and academically.
