WESTFIELD, NJ -- It’s not as easy to see the upturned mouth, but the smiles from the staff and students of Holy Trinity School are truly visible through the shining eyes and cheery voices. Holy Trinity School opened for five full days with a remote option for students to return on September 8.
The classrooms look a bit different. Each desk has a shield on three sides with a clear plastic screen to see through or a plexiglass divider. Learning centers have been replaced by desks spaced six feet apart. Lunch most days is now in the classroom and everyone is wearing a mask all day. What has not changed is the caring faculty, rigorous curriculum, and faith practices that promote kindness to others.
“We believe that the emotional and social well-being of the child is as important as the core curriculum,” says principal Dr. Adele Ellis. “The staff follows all CDC protocol, all cleaning measures, and we are diligent with social distancing,” she added.
All staff and families are following the same guidelines outside the school to help avoid possible cases of COVID in the school. Families use the Conciergepad app to check in daily and temperatures are also taken at the school.
At this time, Holy Trinity School is at capacity and has only a few PreK openings. There are wait lists for all grades from Kindergarten to grade 8. Starting in November, Holy Trinity School will take applications for spots for the 2021-22 school year as they open.
Do you want your child to learn in an accepting and caring environment, with a focus not only on top-notch academics but also developing well-rounded, community-minded individuals?
