EDISON, NJ-- Nadia Valcourt of South Plainfield and Mehkai Huey of Piscataway, athletes at The Wardlaw+Hartridge School in Edison, have been named to this year’s Greater Middlesex County Student-Athlete Advisory Committee basketball teams. Both Rams leaders were honored in February for their contributions to their teams in early season games.

Nadia has brought senior leadership and determination to the Rams in 2021.  One of the team’s leading scorers, she has also been W+H’s leading rebounder (averaging 8 per game), and she really stands out on defense, where she has registered five steals in each game.

Mehkai had a well-rounded outing in the Rams’ come-from-behind win over Perth Amboy Tech, recording 16 points, four steals and three assists. The junior point guard runs the Rams offense and is a quick defender who ignites the team’s transition game.
