Registration for the Westfield Area YMCA Fall 2 session program registration begins at 6:00pm on Thursday, Oct. 12 for Full members and at 7:30 a.m., Monday Oct.16 for Basic and Non-Members. The Fall 2 Session runs from Oct. 29 to Dec. 23.
Youth basketball league season is gearing up at the Y with a 3-week pre-season clinic Oct. 22, 29 and Nov. 5. Winter basketball leagues for boys and girls in Kindergarten through age 14 are registering now. Two new aquatics programs will be offered in the Fall 2 session: Advances Stroke Mechanics for youth ages 8-12 and a six-hour Aquatics Leader program offered over three Sundays in November for teens ages 12-15. The Y continues to offer sports classes and swim lessons for every age and skill level. Free swim assessments are available. Dance Academy and Tae Kwon Do offer programs for participants preschool age-adult.
Adults and seniors can enjoy Bridge classes, land and water exercise classes, lunchtime lectures and holiday events. Special heath group programs such as Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms, Arthritis Exercise Program, Aquatics for People with Disabilities, Project Healthy Bones, and Special Population Personal Training continue to be offered. Programs for people with special needs of all ages are also available.
