Benefit Concert

Rare opportunity to see some of your favorite bands, including Bedlight for Blue Eyes, Day at the Fair, Crash Romeo and more in a benefit concert. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. at Crossroads 78 North Ave, Garwood New Jersey 07027. There is no pre-sale for the concert, first come first served, and a $10 minimum donation can be given at the door, 21+ only. This concert is held in memory of Maggie Collins. All proceeds will benefit her son, baby Pete, who is sadly left with no parents as he also lost his father in February 2016.

The concert is being headlined by Bedlight for Blue Eyes, who for the first time will be performing with both Danny Rinaldi and Christian Guerrero. Don’t miss this rare opportunity! They will be joined by supporting groups Day at the Fair, Crash Romeo, Red Hymns, and an acoustic set by Woodsound. Crossroads has generously donated their space to host this show, so all proceeds collected at the door as well as from the bands merchandise sales will go directly to the family of Maggie Collins. Whether you knew Maggie, love the bands, or are looking for a great way to support local bands and community this concert is for you!

Maggie Collins lost her life in a tragic car accident on April 17, 2018. The proceeds will benefit baby Pete, who sadly is left with no parents as he also lost his Father Pete Gonzalez Jr. on Feb. 26, 2016. Baby Pete is and always will be Momma's boy. He and his mother were as close as two souls can be. With his father’s passing Maggie went above and beyond to be everything to her son and more. She always made sure he was the center of her world and the people around her. Peter is only 5 years old and has experienced more loss than most of us. The proceeds will benefit the future educational needs of Peter and keeping him involved in his favorite activities with family and friends to keep his life as normal and happy as possible. Help baby Pete’s family be able to provide him a life his parents will look down, smile, and be proud of.

If you are unable to attend the concert but would still like to support baby Pete donations can be made on the go fund me page: https://www.gofundme.com/for-a-boy-who-lost-his-parents

What Is Your Bottom Line?

This week's Parshah (Torah reading) is the Parshah of Pinchas the Zealot: the courageous young priest who stood up against idolatry and immorality and, in the end, saved Israel from a devastating plague.

While Pinchas' radical response made him a hero worthy of having a Torah section named after him, we wouldn't necessarily suggest to our children ...
