Union County Wide - March for Our Lives

Students of Union County will march to make sure that our schools are safe. The march will start at Burnet Middle School (1000 Caldwell Avenue, Union). It will end at the Union Township City Council Offices (1976 Morris Avenue, Union). All looking to protect American children by strengthening our laws and stand with the victims of all shootings inside places of education, are invited and welcomed.

With the support of Senator Cryan and Westfield sophomore Colin Sumner. In addition students from all over the county. Finally with the support of Moms Demand Action - Union County Chapter, and the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders. We look forward to marching with every parent, teacher and administrator for safety.

The goal of such a march is not to take away guns, but to end gun violence. Students have always been the catalysts for change in this country. Today, we want congress to make us all safer, and counter all forms of gun violence by being open to the national student led dialogue. On the 24th let's march to make that dream a reality. Hand in hand we will stand, together, and united.

Why We Keep Kosher

Why We Keep Kosher

This week's parshah, Shemini, introduces the Torah's dietary laws. Animals must chew their cud and have split hooves to be kosher, fish need fins and scales, and a list of forbidden fowl is enumerated.

To those of us in Jewish education, it is a continuing source of disappointment that so many Jews still believe the kosher laws to be outdated.
