Virtual Art Auction to Benefit Homeless Veterans

The Westfield Rotary Club will host a “live” virtual art auction on Friday, April 16 to benefit homeless veterans.

Partnering with four other area Rotary clubs, members distribute items of need to the homeless veterans at the Community Hope Shelter at Lyons VA. The shelter provides services and temporary shelter to the vets, getting them off the street and preparing them to live successfully on their own. Since the start of the program, there have been between 50-75 vets at the shelter. Items provide include socks, underwear, long johns, sweatshirts, boots, sneakers, toiletries, blankets, duffel bags and the list goes on. General Needs sources these items are very low costs and the items are all top quality.

The live art auction is open to the public and begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 16. Bidder registration may be completed at bid.marlinart.com.
