Westfield 2018 Earth Day Celebration

The Westfield Green Team will host the 2018 Westfield Earth Day Celebration over Earth Day Weekend, Sat. April 21 and Sunday April 22.

On Sunday, April 22 from noon to 3 p.m. there will be an Earth Day Festival with fun, educational activities for the whole family at the Westfield Train Station parking lot on North Ave. Specific activities include:

● Free giveaways including tree saplings and reusable shopping bags.

● Educational handouts for adults & kids on recycling, reuse and more.

● Kid's hands-on activity: Upcycled Craft – make a flower from a plastic water bottle.

● Aquaponics demo – aquaponics combines raising aquatic animals such as snails or fish in tanks while cultivating plants in water in a symbiotic environment.

● Westfield Resident Green Pledge/Challenge – residents can voluntarily pledge to take an action to increase sustainability, such as: change light bulbs to more efficient models; walk to the store once a week instead of driving; plant a garden and so on. 

● Bee Keeper Photo selfie station. 


All giveaways & activities are while supplies last.
