NJ Family Pleads for Kidney Donor to Save Ailing 7-Year-Old

October 28, 2020

JERSEY CITY, NJ - A family is desperately searching for a donor to help save the life of a young boy with severe kidney disease.

"My seven-year-old son, Modak, is in need of a kidney donor," says Nirmesh Kumar. "His kidneys are functioning at 6.5%."

Modak, a 2nd Grader at Golden Door Charter School in Jersey City, was initially diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome in 2018.
