WESTFIELD, NJ — Looking to get outside? There’s slate of events about to happen on Quimby Street.

Starting this weekend and continuing for at least through July 4 weekend, the town will be opening Quimby Street Friday – Sunday evenings for socially distanced strolling and dining, Downtown Westfield Corporation announced. It will be closed to vehicular traffic.

For Saturday and Sunday, the DWC has scheduled a series of events, ranging from yoga to bracelet making and fitness classes.

Here’s the weekend lineup of events happening on Quimby Street, according to the DWC.

Friday, June 19, 7 – 9 p.m., the owners of Valencia School of Music will boost the ambiance by offering what they do best — music.

Saturday, June 20, 9 – 9:45 a.m., Coach Sam Tooley will lead a complimentary AlphaFit Club training workout along with JackRabbit of Westfield. It is being held in preparation for the Virtual 5K Pizza Run.

Saturday, June 20, 10 – 11 a.m., Brassy Buddha Family Yoga will offer Yoga. The cost is $14 for the session with Brandi Hoynowski. Click here for registration details.

Saturday, June 20, 11 – 11:45 a.m. CrossFit 908 Central will help total body strength. No experience is needed. Click here for their full calendar of events.

Saturday, June 20, 1 – 3 p.m., Just Bead Yourself will offer an introduction to Chakras and Chakra bracelet making for adults and teens. The cost is $35. Click here for the full details.

Saturday, June 20, 7 – 9 p.m., NJ Workshop for the Arts will provide live music.

Sunday, June 21, 10 – 11 a.m., the yoga studio, Satsang, will offer a yoga class for all levels. Bring your own mat. Click here to book your hour-long class. The cost is $20.
