WESTFIELD, NJ — Some masks are emblazoned with inspirational quotes. Others are of the do-it-yourself variety. All are intended to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

TAPinto Westfield asked readers to send along selfies of themselves in their masks, and they responded with a plethora of designs.

Nearly 2 years old, Dylan Shah won’t be spreading COVID-19. His parents assembled a mask for him using a T-shirt with the method endorsed by the CDC.

A dinosaur skeleton outside the home of Mitch Gambert, owner of Bespoke by Gambert in Downtown Westfield, sports a mask. The custom shirt-maker has converted his factory in Newark into a place for making masks.

A mask worn by Westfield’s Ally Hornstein is emblazoned with a Buddhist quote.

“Every morning we are born again,” the mask says. “What you do today is what matters most.”
