WESTFIELD, NJ — Ten candidates are running for three open seats on the Westfield Board of Education in the November election, according to the Union County Clerk’s Office.

The deadline for candidates to file with the Union County Board of Elections was Monday. Board of Education President Peggy Oster and school board member Brian Morrissey, whose terms will expire at the end of the year, are not seeking reelection.

Wendy H. Rogers, Deborah Feldman-Kahn and David Sexton are running on a slate under the slogan “Bright Futures,” according to clerk’s office. Leila Morrelli, Paul Monusky and Sahar Aziz are running on a slate under the slogan “Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders,” according to the clerk's office.

Eldanydia Pavon, incumbent Kent Diamond, Priti Dave and Sonal Patel have also filed petitions to run for the school board.
