WESTFIELD, NJ — As part of the celebration of Westfield’s 300th Anniversary, the Westfield 300 Committee, the Westfield Historical Society and the Miller-Cory House Museum have planned a “Colonial” dinner and drink tasting event to be held at 16 Prospect Wine Bar Bistro on Sunday, Feb. 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. Eat, drink and be merry (the way George Washington did!).
During this event, guests will enjoy special Colonial food samplings as well as Colonial-inspired tavern drinks. Guests should be 21 years of age in older to attend. Special recipes, provided by the Miller-Cory House Museum, will be prepared for sampling; and Colonial history-inspired drinks will be sampled during a presentation of “Wet Westfield — A Virtual Pub Crawl” by the Westfield Historical Society’s, Meg Wastie.
Space is limited and reservations should be made as soon as possible by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 908-654-1794. The $40 per person fee for the event should be paid, in advance, online at www.westfieldhistoricalsociety.org/events; or by mail, (check payable to Westfield Historical Society) P.O. Box 613, Westfield, NJ 07091. Reservations and payments should be received by Feb. 15.
The Westfield Historical Society, with the Miller-Cory House Museum, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018. Since 1968, the 501(c)(3) non-profit Westfield Historical Society has worked to preserve, interpret and encourage interest in history, Westfield, and its residents through educational efforts and community outreach programs.
