WESTFIELD, NJ — Tens of thousands of people flocked to the downtown during FestiFall, an annual street fair held Sunday.

With temperatures nearing the 90s, it was not your average day for a fall fair. Lemonade, Italian ices and ice cream were among the popular items consumed at the annual event organized by the Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

“It’s a hot day out here today. We might call it ‘SummerFall’ in the future,” said Gene Janotti, the chamber's executive director. “But thousands of people are out here enjoying themselves. They’re looking at the arts and crafts and the food and the children zone. We got music and entertainment — fun for everyone.”
