WESTFIELD, NJ — It’s high time for Sky the cat to find a new home.

The 12-pound domestic short-hair, who found herself stuck in a tree on Rahway Avenue for six days in 2020, is again seeking a home after unforeseen circumstances led her new owner to give her up, said Westfield resident Irma Cardosa, a local advocate for felines in need.

“Sky is once again searching for her ‘fur-ever’ home,” Cardosa said. “If anyone is willing to open their home to a senior cat, she is a loving, affectionate poor baby.”

Sky, who her new owner had named Lulu, is 7 years old, Cardosa said.

The feline is being sheltered at the Sayreville based Coalition of Advocates for Shelter Animals, she said.

People wishing to adopt Sky are asked to email Jeanine Abood at jaea3@aol.com.
