The senior citizens of Second Westfield Senior Housing held a fundraising event, “Have a Heart,” Feb. 14, to support the volunteers of the Westfield Rescue Squad for helping those in need.
The seniors thanked the squad for their dedication and service and handed a check in the amount of $250 to the following squad volunteers: Jennifer Hernandez (EMT), Jason Evans (EMT/Technology Officer), and David Sloan (EMT/President).
The Westfield Rescue Squad has been servicing the town since 1951. All of their trained emergency technicians (EMTs) are volunteers providing services for free and always available 365 days a year. The squad is supported by the tax-deductible donations.
