It is with great pride that I write this letter in support of Jenn Gilman for Ward 3 Councilwoman. I am a Ward 3 resident and I have known Jenn for seven years. I strongly believe that she is the best candidate for this position.
I have been a resident of Ward 3 for almost 5 years. Two of my children attend Jefferson Elementary School, and my third attends the Early Childhood Education Program at Temple Emanu-El and was lucky enough to have Jenn as her teacher last year. Jenn is an integral part of each of these communities. I first met Jenn when our now 4th graders were about to start in Temple Emanu-El’s 2 year old class. She and I were both new to the program and I remember feeling so glad that I’d met such a warm, open, welcoming person. I soon learned just how lucky I would be to come to consider Jenn one of my closest friends.
Jenn has a wealth of experience in so many areas that lend themselves to being a Councilperson. She is an educator, a small business owner, a legislative leader for Moms Demand Action’s gun violence prevention work, a Girl Scout troop leader, a former co-chair for the Mother’s Center of Central NJ, an active Jefferson PTO member. In her various professional and volunteer capacities, Jenn has proven that she is a hard worker who puts in the time and effort to get things done.
Jenn leads by example. She is proactive in her approach to everything that she does, always taking the time to educate herself on the issue at hand in order to gain a broad and comprehensive perspective through which to guide her decision making. I have come to think of her as a trusted resource on so many matters. She is inclusive in her approach, always considering the big picture and coming up with new and creative ways to think about things. Jenn is highly intelligent and thoughtful, level-headed and empathetic, passionate and grounded all at the same time.
It is without reservation that I offer my support of Jenn Gilman for Ward 3 Councilwoman. She will continue on a path that has been proven by her track record- one that is framed by tenacity, dedication, and a tireless conviction that she must live what she believes- that a proactive and hard working approach is the best, and only way, she knows how to lead. I know that Jenn will work hard to continue to be the tireless volunteer that she has been for all of the years that I’ve known her.
Please vote for Jenn Gilman for Ward 3 Councilwoman on November 5.
