Saturday, Feb. 22, is National Margarita Day. In honor of the holiday, we compiled a list of great places in New Jersey to imbibe one of the tasty tequila cocktails, whether you prefer yours on the rocks or frozen.

Jose Tejas, Woodbridge and Fairfield. It doesn’t matter if you’re ordering fajitas or crawfish etouffee —  nothing goes better with a Mexican-Cajun mashup than a frosty margarita.

Johnny Tequila, Roselle. With a name like that, they’d better know what they’re doing.

Margaritaville, Atlantic City. Like Jimmy Buffet sings, “There’s booze in the blender …”

Red Cadillac, Union. Also known for its infused tequilas (with flavors including hibiscus, pineapple and even PB & jelly), Red Cadillac serves some killer margaritas by the glass or pitcher.

River and Rail Cantina, Cranford. Their fruity River-and-Rail-A-Ritas are fun, but for something a little different, try the ginger peach signature margarita, made with ginger liquor and peach nectar.

Rosa Mexicano, Hackensack. Try their signature pomegranate frozen margarita, garnished with a flor de sal rim.

Tequila ‘n’ Tacos, Piscataway. If you like a little heat with the sweet, their jalapeno-laced TnT Margarita will blow you away.

Toro Loco, South Orange. This restaurant’s Margarita Toro Loco is everything you’re looking for in a classic margarita.
