WESTFIELD, NJ — The pandemic has slowed down life for many, but you still should lock your car doors.

A thief made off with a car that had been left unlocked and with a key fob inside on Wychwood Drive Wednesday, police said in a text message alert.

It wasn’t the first time.

On March 22, police said car left unlocked with its keys inside the was stolen from Wychview Drive and a series of cars were burglarized on Canterbury Lane, Carol Road, Sunset Avenue and Wychwood Road.

On April 12, police said a thief made off with a car from 1300 block of Prospect Street. The car’s key was also used in the that incident, the police alert said.
