Coming Up in Worship
The story of the beginning of the Church as told in the book of Acts is a fascinating one. What started as a movement led by a handful of faithful apostles became a phenomenon that has reached billions of people. But what was it about this new faith that so captured the hearts of those who heard the words of Jesus? This October, FUMC Westfield is taking a look at the characteristics of the early church to see why it was so transformative, and what we can learn from being an “Uncommon Church,” so that we can put the radical, uncommon love of Jesus into practice in our lives. All are invited for worship Sundays at 10 a.m.
FUMC Westfield will be hosting their 3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch from Oct. 12 - 31. It will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and sizes available for purchase. The Patch is located on the church lawn and is a fundraiser for the church’s upcoming international mission trip. They will also be hosting “Movies in the Patch,” a free family event held on select nights at 6:00 PM, and will feature Hotel Transylvania (Friday, Oct. 18), Coco (Friday, Oct. 25), and The Nightmare Before Christmas (Saturday, Oct. 26).
