WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield High School boys’ varsity swim team has advanced to the state sectional final.

The Blue Devils took top spots in the 200 freestyle, the 200 individual medley and the 100 freestyle in the competition against Ridge High School Monday. The final score was 115-55.

Roan Baker, Barney Veres, Matt Swenson and Jeremy Kronheimer secured a time of 1:40.59 in the 200-medley relay.

Seth Camacho finished the 200 freestyle first with a time of 1:48.73.

Camacho also secured a first-place finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:52.69.

Colin Kavanagh completed the 200 individual medley first with a time of 2:01.49.

Kavanagh also took first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 0:50.55.

Kavanagh, Kronheimer, Colman Scanlan and Kyle Altman finished the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:32.14 securing the win for Westfield.

Roan Baker finished the 100 backstroke first with a time of 0:57.35.

Barney Veres took first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.84.

In the 400 freestyle TJ Walsh, Matt Swenson, Billy Maguire, Colman Scanlan secured the win for Westfield with a time of 3:30.29.

The Blue Devils will face Bridgewater-Raritan High School at the Raritan Bay YMCA Friday at 5:30 p.m.
