WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield High School varsity girls’ hockey team co-captain netted her 100th point on Tuesday.
“Maddie Katz recorded her 100th career point in Westfield’s 17-6 win over Madison,” said head coach Matt Gualtieri. “She finished the game with four goals and three assists.”
Katz has seen significant success on the ice this season, having risen as the state’s top girls’ hockey goal scorer in December. TAPinto Westfield then named Katz an Allstate Westfield Athlete of the Week.
The senior at Westfield High School has been playing ice hockey since she was 9 years old. She will attend Tufts University in the fall.
The Lady Blue Devils next take on Immaculate Heart Feb. 25 at the Ice Vault in Wayne.
