Letter: Profit at Any Cost? Heartbroken Over Loss of an Historic Home in Westfield

July 6, 2020

To The Editor:

Recently, a 150+ year old Victorian was torn down in Westfield, next to my childhood home. Four Lessons From COVID-19 You Shouldn’t Forget

Six months ago, the crystal-coated ball dropped in Times Square and we cheered in a brand new year. At that moment, none of us knew what waited for us just a short hop ahead. Terms like “social ...

Where There's a Will There's a Why

Why do certain people find satisfaction in Judaism while others are bored stiff? Why is faith exciting for some and irrelevant for others, a joy for one guy and an absolute burden for the next? One fellow cannot imagine going to work without first putting on his tefillin and the other hasn't seen his tefillin since his bar mitzvah 40 years ago. This woman ...

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Even in this era where statues of explorers are being dismantled, schools named after presidents are being rebranded and sports teams are replacing racially insensitive nicknames, don't expect Rutgers to change its name.
