CLARK, NJ — The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office is still investigating the death of Gladys Barrera, the former girlfriend of Fred Terrible, 58, who died on Jan. 3 of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound just days after Barrera was killed in Trenton on New Year’s Eve, according to Police Chief Pedro Matos.

In a post on Terrible’s Facebook page on New Year’s Day he expressed disbelief of her passing. In translated comments under one of his posts, Terrible identifies her as his fiance, and says they were to be married.   Many friends offered condolences, and in one final comment made several days after Terrible’s post, a friend expressed disbelief that he too is gone.

Terrible’s obituary indicates he was originally from Italy and lived in Plainfield before settling in Clark. He is survived by two daughters.
