CLARK, NJ – L’Oréal plans to build a new Research and Development facility on Terminal Avenue according to Clark Business Administrator John Laezza.

Laezza  revealed during a recent Chamber of Commerce meeting that Clark was competing with Berkley Heights to be the future home of this corporate investment. Laezza said he has been in negotiations with L’Oréal for four years and was finally able to close a deal to have the facility built in town.

The new R&D structure will be constructed in the open field next to their current facility on the corner of Central and Terminal Avenues. Laezza said that the 240,000 square foot structure will include updates to the existing building so it ties into the new one and creates a cohesive facility across the eleven acre site. Construction is projected to start in 2020.
