UNION, NJ — Organizers of the Union County 2020 St. Patrick’s Day Parade said they are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation, but as of now, the parade will proceed as planned.
In a social media post Monday night, parade organizers said the main priority is to minimize any threats to public safety by following guidelines set forth by the CDC. Many of these suggestions are similar precautions used to prevent the spread of the flu. They are, but not limited to, washing your hands, avoid kissing and handshakes, and using hand sanitizer when possible. Local businesses should maintain or increase daily cleaning.
The parade is scheduled to step off on Morris Avenue in Union at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 14. For information about the parade, click here. Any updates to the parade will be provided by TAPinto Union as soon as it becomes available.
