SUMMIT, NJ — According to the City of Summit, the Westfield Regional Health Department has confirmed the first case of the COVID-19 virus in Summit.

Information available indicates that the patient is a male, age 50-plus, and who has been self-isolating since symptoms began last week. The patient is described as having had "extremely limited public contact."
