In his recent State of the Town address, Supervisor Michael Grace told us about all the wonderful things that have happened, or are about to happen, in Yorktown.

But the one thing he failed to talk about was the condition of our deteriorating roads and what he was doing to fix them. Silence.

Why isn’t Supervisor Grace spending some of the town’s $7 million surplus on our roads? If he spent just $1 million, we’d still be left with a healthy reserve for emergencies.

Why is Supervisor Grace hoarding this money? For his highway garage project? What’s more important: safe roads or more ball fields?
