YORKTOWN, N.Y. - Hilltop Hanover Farm celebrated the second birthday of its youngest cow, Cricket, with a party on Saturday, June 25. The birthday bash featured an ice cream party sponsored by Turco’s of Yorktown Heights.

Adults and youngsters enjoyed vanilla ice cream with a choice of chocolate or rainbow sprinkles. Games were also provided for the children. Volunteer Sue Hubbard directed a craft that created a cow’s face with the help of a paper plate and some cuts outs.

Of course, everyone came to see Cricket and to sing her Happy Birthday. Cricket, who was actually born at the farm in July 2014, is one of the four Dutch Belted cows at the Farm. While the other cows crowded the fence to say hello to the guests, Cricket preferred mostly to sit by herself and soak in the excitement of the day.

The Friends of Hilltop Hanover Farm thanks Turco’s of Yorktown Heights for its annual sponsorship and all its members and guests who attended. Plans are already being discussed for Cricket’s third birthday party in early June 2017.
