“He sent a message,” Andy Bazzo claims in “Thank God, Baseball Is Back,” Coulter, Savage and others are going down the wrong path in criticizing Trump’s bombing of Syria. No, Andy, they are pro-peace. And the opposite is one who is pro war (i.e. a warmonger).
Have our interventionist policies (bombing) in Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, Iraq, Yemen, Libya and Pakistan done anything but kill innocent civilians? Has our interventionist policies lessened terrorism? Since the first Iraq War in 1990, has our meddling endeared us to the rest of the world? Do we have fewer enemies or more? Do the relatives of the innocent civilians killed in our bombings see us as a guiding light to freedom? Has the million-plus deaths been worth it?
Trump has become a turncoat. Here is what he said a little over 100 days ago: “We will stop looking to topple regimes and overthrow governments. Our goal is stability, not chaos, because we want to rebuild our country.” Andy, you should be admonishing Trump’s behavior not condoning it.
What I say? Try peace for a change.
