SHRUB OAK, N.Y. – Elementary and middle school girls from throughout the country were honored earlier this month by ThinkSTEAM, a nonprofit organization founded by Lakeland High School student Jothi Ramaswamy.

The ThinkBIG Challenge was designed to ignite students’ interest in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM). It challenged girls to think creatively by producing a 1-4 minute video inspiring girls to enter STEM fields and/or how this can be done through the arts.
