SHRUB OAK, N.Y. – Jothi Ramaswamy, a science research student at Lakeland High School, was awarded for her performance at the Westchester Science & Engineering Fair, which took place at Sleepy Hollow High School on Saturday, March 17.

Ramaswamy, whose project was titled, “Investigation of Daily Functional Risks in the Senior Population Using Support Vector Machines, Logistic Regression and Random Forest,” won an Innovations in Biological Science Research Award.

The Westchester Science & Engineering Fair provides a forum for high school students in Westchester and Putnam counties to showcase their research and sponsors the top students from the fair to advance to the INTEL International Science & Engineering Fair.
