YORKTOWN, N.Y. – “Here Comes the Sun,” indeed.

The Hofners, a Beatles tribute band, opened the Summer Concert Series on Sunday, July 1, performing a two-hour set in near-triple-digit temperatures. Hundreds of lawn chairs were strategically scattered around Jack DeVito Veterans Memorial Field, as concert-goers looked for any shade they could find.

Despite the sweltering conditions, The Hofners played dozens of tunes spanning the brief-but-legendary career of The Beatles, beginning with the mop top Beatlemania era and then donning suits matching those from the iconic “Sgt. Pepper’s” album cover.
