YORKTOWN, N.Y. – The annual Fireman’s Day Parade, one of Yorktown’s oldest traditions, returned Wednesday, June 21.
Yorktown was joined at its parade by dozens of other departments throughout the county, including Mohegan Lake, Ossining, Millwood and more.
After the parade wrapped up, many made their way over to the Fundraising Carnival located at Commerce Street and Veterans Road. The carnival, which stayed open until Sunday, featured rides, games and food for all ages.
As a 100 percent volunteer fire company, this is the company’s biggest fundraising event of the year. The parade and carnival were first held in June of 1920.
