YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A man was charged with a town code violation earlier this week after he allegedly flooded the Taconic State Parkway with about 5,000 gallons of pool water, according to the Yorktown Police Department.
Police responded to the parkway around 8:49 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, following a two-car accident. Officers traced the water back to a Mohansic Avenue residence, where a 54-year-old pool service worker allegedly drained a swimming pool in the direction of the Taconic, causing about 5,000 gallons of water to accumulate in all three southbound lanes.
The man was charged with depositing material on a public highway, a violation. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, July 12.
