YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A 36-year-old Yorktown man was arrested Friday night after police say he allegedly robbed another man at knifepoint in Railroad Park.
A man called the Yorktown Police Department around 8 p.m claiming he had just been robbed in the park near the Underhill Apartments. The victim said he was robbed of his gold chain and crucifix.
Several officers responded and obtained a description of the suspect as well as an eye witness, according to the report.
A man matching the description, Ramon Morales, who lives in the nearby Underhill Apartments, was located by the officers and arrested. He was charged with first-degree robbery, a felony.
Judge Sal Lagonia issued a search warrant of Morales' apartment, where police say they recovered the knife used in the robbery as well as the chain and crucifix.
